Research Auto Dealer License Requirements
- Find out how much the license is.
- Find out how much the business license will be.
- Find out the site location requirements for the anticipated auto dealership.
- Locate possible areas to open a dealership, considering the demographics and competition.
- Compare monthly lease payments or the entire cost to purchase a particular lot.
- Decide which will be cost efficient-buying or leasing a auto site location.
- Assess how many vehicles will be able to fit in the site loaction, considering how much capital I have to purchase the automobile inventory.
- Locate and contact auto dealers that can provide the exclusive muscle/classic/hot rod inventory that is desired.
- Compare buying cars individually or wholesale in bulk if available.
- Locate an auto transporter once the inventory provider is confirmed. Or, assess whether it would be cost efficient to purchase my own truck & car hauler to transport inventory.
- Apply for auto dealer license and pay the mandatory fee.
- Pay monthly or annual lease payment.
- Pay auto transporter/purchase auto hauler.
- Purchase automobile inventory.
- Purchase repair & cosmetic tools/supplies.
- Paint the site location and purchase signs to display the business.
- Hire contractors to tar the site location for automobiles.
- Purchase security cameras/watchdogs/security wrought iron fences.
